Ingredients

  • 1 (15.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (about 36 cookies)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz white chocolate melting wafers or almond bark
  • Red food coloring (gel preferred)
  • Blue food coloring (gel preferred)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed into crumbs. Alternatively, place them in a large zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix with a spoon or your hands until well combined and a dough-like consistency is formed.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill the Oreo balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or in the freezer for 15 minutes, until firm.
  5. While the balls are chilling, melt the white chocolate melting wafers according to package directions. Divide the melted chocolate into three separate microwave-safe bowls.
  6. Leave one bowl of chocolate white. Add a few drops of red food coloring to the second bowl and stir until desired red color is achieved. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the third bowl and stir until desired blue color is achieved.
  7. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into one of the colored chocolates, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork or a dipping tool to gently lift the ball out, letting excess chocolate drip off.
  8. Place the coated Oreo ball back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  9. Repeat with the remaining Oreo balls and colored chocolates.
  10. Return the decorated Oreo balls to the refrigerator for another 15-20 minutes to allow the chocolate to fully set. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
